Dear Parents and Guardians,

We wish you a wonderful restful summer. Please do keep an eye open over the summer vacation for notifications and updates from school. There will be protocol changes, new arrival plans and critical information that you will need to discuss with your children prior to their return in September. It will be imperative that we have contact from you at least one week before the start of term, so we know exactly how many students we are likely to accommodate when we return on September 8th. The safety and security of the community is paramount.

Yesterday, we met with contractors to plan for the restart of the new secondary building. It will not be complete by September, so we have had to turn our heads to a late December completion date. We will keep you posted as we make a decision on the final contractor.  We will, however, be expanding our cantina over the summer. This space and provision will be much improved for our return to school.

As always, please make time to purchase the correct uniform from El Corte Ingles. Stock is available now so do take some time over the break to consider your uniform needs. We will expect everyone to arrive in full school uniform on September 8th. Please also remember my note about purchasing an extra PE shirt.

The IB Diploma results will be released on July 6th. We will be sending out information on the achievements of this year’s Diploma graduates shortly after this date.

Thank you once again for your continued support, trust and connection. As a community we have survived this very adverse and uncertain time. We will use this to draw us closer and make next academic year an even better experience for all of your children.

Earlier this week, Nick Wergan, Education Director for inspired shared this message to the community, reflecting on his connection with SIS since he started in January 2020. He joined us today to be part of the final assembly of the year and is looking forward to connecting with us further over the coming years.

Finally, please find the 2020 Yearbook accessible, via this link.

Be safe. Kind regards,

Jak Kearney
