Dear Parents and Guardians,

Last Wednesday, we saw the end of the SIS photo competition. Publicly, I would like to thank Christine Barling for this wonderful initiative. It has been a phenomenal way of connecting all ages across our community. Every Sunday, Christine’s inbox has been flooded with entries from students, parents and staff across our school. During the first few weeks of lock down this event gave people a purpose, a framework to do something different. In addition, it allowed us all to see the lives of lockdown across the world. Thank you for supporting the competition. The winners will be announced in the End of Year Celebration assembly on June 17th. We hope you can join us! We will be sending further information about this event next week.

Last week, SIS secondary students were given the opportunity to take part in a virtual public speaking competition documenting how they feel “Our Future  will look in light of our current situation. Congratulations to the following students who will be receiving a prize for their contributions:

1st Place: Fabio G. D1 / 2nd Place: Nikolay T. D1 / 3rd Place: Ignacio B. D1

M1-M3

1st Place: Lily T. M2 / 2nd Place: Isabella B. M2 / 3rd Place: Emelhyn W. M1

Special mentions should also go to:

Fundamentals has prepared new outdoor areas with new equipment to welcome back the children in September 2020. They have been doing a great deal of planning to modify, restructure, and create new areas in our outdoor spaces that will surely inspire many learning opportunities and fun for all your children!
