Sotogrande International Boarding House
Sotogrande International Boarding House is celebrating the completion of its quarter of a million Euro refurbishment. Charles Debenham, Head of Boarding, commented: “This investment reflects our commitment to providing outstanding facilities and a boarding experience which is second-to-none for every student in our care”.
The interior of the building has been truly transformed with an injection of modern comfort having been added to traditional features: a café culture style dining room has been introduced, as has a Diploma kitchen and common room, a contemporary student lounge, an exquisite reception area and a cinema-style TV room. However, what really sets Sotogrande International Boarding House apart are the exceptional onsite facilities that students have access to:
- A recording studio where professional music can be produced
- Large fully equipped, specialised gym
- A comprehensive music room, designed by the students, where expression is encouraged
- Dance studio which is used for different genres, from ballet to street to flamenco
- Great sporting facilities, including swimming pool, basketball court and padel and tennis court
“The new facilities will add to our international community atmosphere, giving boarders the opportunity to thrive. Our aim is to cater for all individuals and for each to reach their potential, whilst creating exceptional memories. With this in mind, we have sought to offer the relaxation of home, coupled with exceptional learning environments and areas where students are able to follow their passion for music, dance and sport,” added Charles.
Sotogrande International Boarding House offers a range of boarding options to cater for every family’s need. From traditional full-time boarding to weekday boarding – offering students the opportunity to experience the fun of boarding life as well as the extra, supported study time while spending weekends at home with family and friends. Flexi-boarding options are also currently available where students can stay, for example, just a few nights per week or a week or two each month.
