The Kindred Project Celebration Charity Dinner
Students at Sotogrande International School are excited to be holding the first ever Kindred Project Celebration Charity Dinner on Friday 1st June 2018 at El Octogono Club de Playa y Tenis Sotogrande.
The aim of the evening is to celebrate and share with the community some of The Kindred Project’s work and explore the positive impact students have had at Nuevo Hogar Betania (Spain), Association Tiwizi (Morocco), Nabugabo Community Learning Centre (Uganda) and the Yanapuma Foundation (Ecuador).
At SIS, we strongly believe that proactive, responsible young people are key for overcoming the problems in the world, and thus must be encouraged and supported as drivers of positive change within their local communities and beyond.
Student-driven non-profit organisation
The Kindred Project is a unique student-driven non-profit organisation set up in 2010 by SIS with the firm goal of enabling and empowering students to use education as a force for good in the world. From the age of 3 students are provided with opportunities to get involved and become part of the change.
All proceeds of the evening will go towards the refurbishment and re-equipment of the local health centre at Nabugabo in Uganda, which serves a population of over 10,000 people with problems associated to malaria, pneumonia, malnutrition, birth complications, STDs, TB, influenza, burns, ‘soft wounds’, snake bites, amongst many others.
There will be welcome drinks, a delicious three-course meal (including drinks) along with live music and entertainment and activities for children.
