40 countries…20 million students…1 experience of a lifetime!
F1 in Schools is the only global multi-disciplinary challenge in which teams of students aged 9 to 19 deploy CAD/CAM software to collaborate, design, analyse, manufacture, test, and then race miniature compressed air powered F1 cars. Providing opportunities to learn Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) related subjects in an exciting way.
The challenge inspires students to use IT to learn about physics, aerodynamics, design, manufacture, branding, graphics, sponsorship, marketing, leadership/teamwork, media skills and financial strategy, and apply them in a practical, imaginative, competitive and exciting way.
Incorporated into the Sotogrande International School curriculum from P5 – M3, students will learn all the necessary skills to allow them to design and manufacture a miniature car. To become part of a team who compete against other schools in regional and world events students from M1 to D1 have the opportunity to join an after school club, where teams are formed and go on to explore everything from manufacturing the car, to designing the pit and gaining sponsorship.
Sotogrande International School have already been selected to represent Spain in the 2017 F1 in Schools’ World Finals. The event will be held concurrently at the 2017 Malaysian Grand Prix in Kuala Lumpur.
The SIS F1 Team will shortly be looking for sponsors, to cover the cost of competing. Sponsors will receive a range of benefits which the team are hoping will include branding on the car and pit lane, social media coverage and potentially even TV and radio coverage. The F1 in School’s event will also be covered by television stations.
If you would be interested in sponsoring the Sotogrande International School F1 Team please leave your contact details with our representatives, and our students will contact you to discuss options.
