1. M1-3 Invention Convention and Appropriate Technology: Congratulations to all M1-3 students who showed creativity, thoughtfulness, business acumen, presentation skills, persuasive sales pitches and sheer inventiveness in this year's invention convention. There was a noticeably higher standard of using technology for making presentations and in many cases deeper analysis in written material. Thanks to all M1-3 staff for once again bringing out the best in our students and giving them a great learning experience.

2. Personal Project Fair: All parents are invited to attend the M5 Personal Project Fair on Wednesday 24th March. These projects are an excellent demonstration of the challenging, demanding and inspiring nature of the MYP programme.

3. The Cantina will be closed on Wednesday from 3.30pm for Parent Consultations

4. Notice for all parents: The Cantina will be closed after school on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday due to Parent Consultations

About 60 parents and staff enjoyed a very enjoyable social and cultural experience of the food, music and dances of India. Special thanks go to the IB students who acted as waiters, waitresses and DJs for the evening; and to Sarah Hudson for the delicious food. Very special thanks go to Wendy Moody, Alison Tindling and Gil Charleson for their contributions to making the evening such a success. The PTA is considering the theme for the next cultural dining experience - suggestions welcome.

5. D1 History Trip: Report from students: The IB History trip to London was very stimulating. On the first day we visited the Imperial War Museum and looked at the various exhibits and were particularly moved by the holocaust exhibition. We then went to the Westminster Reading Rooms and the academic book shop to research our internal assessments. Whilst walking to the book shop we stopped in Leicester Square and saw Michael Caine. In the evening we went to the cinema and watched Avatar in 3D. The next day we visited the British Museum and after lunch we went to look at some of the main historic sites in London ending up at the Houses of Parliament. On Wednesday we spent the day attending lectures on the History of the USSR, from a series of University History professors from the UK and US. This was particularly useful for the higher level students as they were able to give us new historiography based on the opening up of Soviet archives within the USSR which will alter all our perceptions of events written in text books.

6. D2 Theatre Oral Examinations: D2 theatre oral exams take place on Tuesday 16 March from 11.00am.

7. D2 Language Orals: D2 language examinations will take place on Thursday 18 March. A timetable has been issued to students
