19 Calendar for the week from 1st February to 07 February
Headmaster 1. SIS Haiti appeal: On Wednesday 27 January, D1 CAS students provided a very popular pancake breakfast to the secondary school raising almost €400 towards the Haiti appeal. They plan to do the same for Primary students in the near future. 2. Help Haiti Golf and Gala dinner: Please see the end of this bulletin for details of a golf competition and gala dinner on Friday 5 February to raise money for Haiti. Becky Tate will be performing at the Gala Dinner. We encourage members of the SIS community to support it. 3. Secondary homework diary: We are in the process of implementing a new homework diary section on the website for secondary students and their parents to check the homework that has been issued. If you open the SIS website and click on the "News" tab, then click "Homework calendar", then indicate which class homework diary you want to view and click "View". You can chose three different views "Semana (weekly)", "Mes (monthly)" or "Agenda". (The agenda view is often the clearest to see each individual item.) By clicking on an individual item you can see the details of the homework. Please note this is a beta version of a new system that we are still testing. Information is not yet complete and the system is not fully operational. We would appreciate feedback from students and parents about whether this is working or what problems they have encountered. Please send any feedback to Iván Nieves inieves@sis.ac. PTA News 1. PTA Meeting: The next PTA meeting will be held on Thursday 4 February at 7pm at School. Everyone welcome Primary School 1.
